We booked our room through the Horseshoe as two Diamond Plus members. If in Council Bluffs maybe look to stay somewhere else, and I can't believe I'm saying this regarding a Hilton property.… We decided to eat elsewhere so I proceeded to the desk to check out and my check out experience wasn't really any better than my check in experience. We were going to have breakfast the next morning before we left and when we got to the dining area we found none of the tables had been cleaned yet so there was no where to sit, and this had nothing to do with the limited number of seats they just hadn't cleaned any of the table and it appeared they were in no hurry to do so. This went on and on, so we called again and were told that they were busy and probably wouldn't be able to do anything about it. We called the front desk to complain and were told if they got a chance they would investigate. We had a room above us that had some running from one side to the other to the wee hours of the night. The room was clean and up to Hilton standards, this was the only pleasant part of the stay. When I arrived I handed the desk clerk a copy of my email confirmation, now mind you he took it and never acknowledge me with a welcome or even eye contact, not word was spoken until he handed me the room keys and said 'the elevator is down the hall and to your right.' That is the only words that were spoken, it was the worst check in experience that I've had. I was actually looking forward to hitting the casino during my stay. The property is located at the casino so that may have something to do with, but I hope not. Well there is a first time for everything. I generally have never been disappointed.
